Player Name – Rob Farkins
Age – 28

Date signed for Parkway – November 2017
What clubs have you played for before Parkway – Newton Abbot, Liverton, Bideford, Truro, Taunton.
What age did you first start playing football for a team?
First played men’s football at the age of 15, my dad was associated with Newton Abbot and my older brother played to so I used to play for them when I was 15 years old. Striker back then!!
What is your best football moment as a player?
By far the promotion to the conference south with Truro City. To win both play offs 1-0 at home in front of thousands nothing has beat that!
Which football team do you support?
Who is your favourite footballer of all time?
Has to be Stevie Gerrard for me.
Favourite Defender though has to be John Terry. Could do everything as a centre half.
If you were stuck in a lift with another player at Parkway who would it be and why?
Nick Milton – purely because he would talk me to sleep so the time would go much quicker!!
Best player you have played with?
Issac Vassell – could literally do anything and everything. Glad to see he went on back into the pro game and having a great career!
Best player you have played against?
Tough one this one, always remember playing against two strikers and every time they somehow used to always score against us. That’s Richard Gillespie and Justin Bennett.
They were always two stand outs who scored goals for fun.
Best manager played under?
Nick De Long, he’s the United Kingdom Armed Forces coach. As a person off the training ground he is a gent but on the training ground and match days he demands everything every player has to give. He’s a manager I’d love to work with on civi street and I know he will go on to massive things once his RAF career is over. A real top bloke and coach.
What is the best football ground you have ever played at?
Burton Albion is probably one of the best but for surface it has to be Aldershot Town, pitch is always immaculate.
Do you have a special routine or superstition you do before every game?
No never believed in anything like that just be yourself but make sure your prepared right for when the game kicks off really that’s all!
