Rob Farkins on a tough test by Buckland Athletic
In a tough encounter against Buckland Athletic last night Rob Farkins talks to #ppfc and gives his verdict on the game and the good start to the season the club have made.
“Tonight was a solid performance, first half we played some nice football through the thirds. Playing against the wind as well it was the only way we could get out so thought we done that superbly, the midfielders movement was fantastic!
Thought we rushed and snapped at thing in the final third tonight, we are normally composed in them areas but last night thought we could have worked it a lot better as they were a rigid back 4. They threw everyone forward last 15 and we stood strong so showed the resilience of this squad we’ve got.
We need to be putting teams to bed with the chances we created but credit must go the Kenny Griffiths, he was Man Of The Match by a mile. He was fantastic in goal for buckland and ultimately kept the score line to 1-0.
Into the next round which is what we all wanted at the start of the game and it’s two wins on the spin so we’re heading in the right direction to what we want to achieve this year”
