Brief info

With a proud background in military service, Gaz brings a strong sense of teamwork to his role as a Director at Plymouth Parkway. After joining the Royal Navy straight from school, he served with distinction in the surface fleet before qualifying as a Submariner, an achievement he cherishes. Since retiring from active service in 2009, he has continued to serve his local community through his work at Derriford Hospital.

For him, success at Parkway isn’t just about silverware, though winning County Cups, League Titles, and securing promotions over the past 16 years certainly reflect the club’s progress. More importantly, it’s about the steady evolution of a grassroots football club into a respected and ambitious force within football in the South West.
What excites him most about being a Director is the privilege of working alongside a dedicated team of volunteers, all committed to building something special. He takes great pride in helping shape the future of the club, ensuring that Parkway remains a welcoming, community-driven environment for players, supporters, and families alike.

Gaz has a few favourite Parkway players across a number of positions, including Kyle Moore, Gavin Coulton, Shane Krac, and Adam Carter. His favourite all time player however, as an Arsenal fan through and through, is Dennis Bergkamp. He also says his favourite moment was Glyn Hobbs’ strike vs Tavistock, not to mention the hattrick he scored on that day too. He enjoys walking his dogs, going on holidays in the heat, and loves a classic Sunday Roast.
