Aidan Warne is a YellowBy Jack Hobbs
We are delighted to announce the signing of Aiden Warne from Tamar View.
The young striker joins after a prolific season with Tamar View’s first team, scoring 22 goals in 18 games under Jimmy Dickinson.
Warne, who made three appearances for Parkway last season on a dual registration, expressed his delight in returning to the club on a youth contract.
“I’m feeling really good, it’s amazing to be here”, said the 18-year-old.
“If you grow up in Plymouth football, especially in the Devon Junior & Minor League, Parkway is the standard, it is the club (to join).
“I came to a game last season because my mates all come here, and I saw the crowd, and everything about it I just loved.
“Having the opportunity to actually play here, to see how it works and to play this level of football, it’s just everything I want to be doing.”
Speaking on Warne’s arrival, Parkway manager Chris McPhee said: “Aiden is a young and exciting prospect, and we are delighted to bring him to the club on a contract.”
“He is a natural goal-scorer at all youth levels and with the progression he has made into the men’s game, we believe with the right support and game time he can score goals at this level.
“Aiden featured in the squad during the latter stages of last season and has been training with us throughout 2025. We have seen real growth and a fantastic mentality within Aiden. He is hardworking, focused and fearless on the pitch.
“He will learn a lot from Rocky, and we will work hard on different aspects of his game to help him become a player that links play and creates opportunities for the team as well as scoring goals.
“Aiden has real potential, and we look forward to ensuring he fulfils that potential.”
Adding to McPhee’s praises, Club Chairman Mark Russell added: “Aiden is a great young player who spent last season training with the team and made a few appearances during the season.”
“He has shown great promise and has scored lots of goals throughout his youth career.
“Aiden will get stronger and stronger working with Macca, Peaks, and he will learn from the experienced players in the squad. I am looking forward to watching Aiden continue to improve over the coming months and years.”
Everyone at Parkway would like to congratulate Aiden on signing his youth contract, and we look forward to watching his development first hand.
