FA Cup First Round Proper

Plymouth Parkway Club Statement

The final whistle has sounded on a demanding run of league fixtures, and attention now turns to a historic night at Bolitho Park as Plymouth Parkway welcome Berkhamsted in the Emirates FA Cup First Round Proper, live on TNT Sports.

Since the fixture was selected for live broadcast and moved to Monday 9 November, the club has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare for an occasion that will put Plymouth Parkway, the community, and non-league football firmly in the national spotlight.

With tickets now sold out, excitement is building ahead of what promises to be a memorable evening. We are asking everyone attending to take a few moments to read the following information and play their part in making the occasion a success.

ARRIVAL & ENTRY

This is an all-ticket fixture and is now sold out. Gates will open at 6pm.

Please have your e-ticket or printed ticket ready upon arrival to help ensure a smooth entry. Both turnstiles will be in operation, as indicated on the ground layout below.

All bags will be subject to a security search upon entry.

Please note that flares and pyrotechnics are strictly prohibited. Anyone attempting to bring these into the ground will be refused entry.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted in enclosed areas.

As with all midweek fixtures, the club operates a no drums or musical instruments policy. This will remain in place for this match.

REMEMBRANCE

With Remembrance weekend falling just days before the fixture, Plymouth Parkway will pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice across the club’s official social media channels over the weekend.

Both clubs will also lay wreaths in front of their respective team line-ups on the evening. There will be no formal minute’s silence.

PARKING & TRAVEL

Due to the significant broadcast, media and production requirements, there will be no on-site parking available at Bolitho Park, with the Manadon car park being utilised by broadcast trucks, media outlets and crew.

Plymouth City Council has also confirmed that there will be a no parking policy in place on St Peter’s Road and Shakespeare Road, with attendants operating throughout the evening.

With advance notice being provided, supporters are strongly encouraged to plan their journey and, wherever possible, consider being dropped off, using taxis or travelling by public transport.

The club’s official taxi partner, Easy Cars Plymouth, is available for supporters travelling to and from the ground.

The Central Park – Park and Ride car park on Outland Road has kindly been made available for the evening. The number 61 double-decker bus will operate throughout the evening, passing Bolitho Park, alongside other bus services running between Outland Road and Crownhill, leaving supporters with a short walk to the ground.

Supporters choosing to park in surrounding residential areas do so at their own risk. Please be considerate of local residents and avoid parking dangerously or obstructing access. Parking attendants will be present, and penalties will be issued where appropriate.

FA CUP SECOND ROUND DRAW

The Emirates FA Cup Second Round draw will take place ahead of kick-off.

A selected group of Plymouth Parkway and Berkhamsted supporters and officials will be invited into the clubhouse to be part of the live draw.

Following the conclusion of the draw, the clubhouse will open to the general public.

CLUBHOUSE & ALCOHOL

Due to contractual broadcasting arrangements covering the build-up and match itself, no alcohol may be consumed outside the clubhouse.

All alcohol purchased from the clubhouse must remain within the clubhouse. Anyone attempting to take alcohol outside will be asked to surrender it.

We thank supporters for their understanding and cooperation with these arrangements.

FOOD & REFRESHMENTS

There will be plenty of options available throughout the evening, with the Burger Shack operating alongside additional food vendors.

Hot and cold refreshments will also be available for supporters to enjoy.

The club will not be producing a printed matchday programme for this fixture. However, supporters wishing to download and print a copy will be able to do so once the online programme is released.

AWAY SUPPORTERS

This fixture will not be segregated.

However, recognising that travelling Berkhamsted supporters may wish to enjoy the evening together, a designated area has been arranged for away fans in the top-right section of Bolitho Park.

We look forward to welcoming the Berkhamsted players, officials and supporters to Plymouth for this special occasion.

LET’S MAKE IT A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

This is a landmark occasion for Plymouth Parkway Football Club. The national spotlight will be on Bolitho Park, and the club is incredibly proud to be hosting an FA Cup First Round Proper tie along with the Second Round FA Cup draw.

We are a community club, supported by volunteers, supporters, partners and people who give so much to keep Parkway moving forward. An occasion like this belongs to everyone connected with the club.

Win or lose, we ask everyone attending to play their part in creating a fantastic atmosphere, showing respect to those around them and helping showcase Plymouth, the footballing community and everything that makes non-league football so special.

Let’s get behind the boys, represent Parkway with pride and make it an evening to remember.

Thank you for your support and cooperation.
