A New Era Begins at Bolitho Park
Management Team Confirmed for 26/27 SeasonBy Mike Parrish
As the sun shone overhead at Bolitho Park, Plymouth Parkway officially ushered in a new era ahead of the 2026/27 Southern League campaign, as Karl Curtis, Matt Godfree, Lee Peacock, Stu Dudley and Ben Weetch met together as a management collective for the first time.
The new-look management team gathered around Bolitho as Karl Curtis arrived on home soil following his appointment as first-team manager earlier this year.
The Torpoint man now begins the task of preparing Parkway for another campaign in the Southern League Premier South, with his first major focus centred around assembling a backroom team capable of building on the spirit and resilience shown at the football club during the closing stages of last season.
Curtis steps into his first full-time managerial role after previously serving two spells as assistant manager under Lee Hobbs at Parkway. Last season, he also enjoyed a successful spell in a joint-management role at Torpoint alongside Dean Cardew.
Karl’s first appointment saw him bring former first-team coach Matt Godfree back to Bolitho as assistant manager, following Matt’s two-season spell with Truro City.
There was further continuity within the setup as Karl moved quickly to retain the services of Lee Peacock, who now takes on the role of first-team coach after spending the past two seasons with the club. The Scotsman played a major role alongside Stu Dudley during Parkway’s remarkable end-of-season run which secured the club’s Southern League status.
Dudley himself remains a hugely important figure around Bolitho and will return to his goalkeeping coach role, while physio Ben Weetch also stays on after playing a crucial role behind the scenes during the final months of last season.
The new era has officially begun at Bolitho, and supporters can look forward to hearing much more from the management team over the coming days across Parkway’s social media channels.
With the retained list, pre-season schedule, season ticket news and new signings all still to come this summer, preparations for the 2026/27 campaign are already well under way.
But for now, Plymouth Parkway officially welcomes Karl, Matt, Lee, Stu and Ben to the Bolitho dugout, and wishes them every success ahead of the new season.
