We are excited to announce the arrival of Charlie Castlehouse from local side Dobwalls FC on a youth contract.

The midfielder joins Parkway off the back of a successful season with The Dingos, scoring six goals in 29 appearances to help secure a 3^rd placed finish in the South West Peninsula League.

Speaking on signing for Parkway, the 20-year-old said: “I’m pleased to be joining Parkway.”

“I’m excited to get stuck in and challenge myself by playing at a much higher level than I was last year.

“It was hard to say no to when I was offered to join, it’s a much higher level and I want to push myself – I think this is the perfect opportunity to do that.

“The club has great coaches and the experience they have will help me to develop as a player.

“My aim is to break into the first team and get as many minutes as I can to better myself as a player.”

Parkway manager Chris McPhee said: “We are really pleased to have signed Charlie as he is a talented and tidy midfield player with a variety of skills.”

“He made a couple of appearances for us and trained with the squad throughout last season where he showed great potential, attitude and a desire to learn and improve.

“Charlie again is local and was at the club as a youngster. He will add depth to the squad and we believe he is certainly a player who will improve considerably through the season ahead.

“His energy and natural understanding of the game is always evident in everything he does and with some support and development, he will develop into a versatile midfield player.

“We are looking forward to working with Charlie further.”

Club Chairman Mark Russell added: “Charlie played a couple of games for us last year and showed some great touches and signs of the player he can grow into.”

“He is another great addition to the squad who will continue to grow and learn with the support of Chris and Lee.”
