The day has a community feel to it and as a club, we have worked extremely hard to ensure the day is a huge success off the pitch as well as on it.
Plymouth Parkway Football Club have been contacted by Plymouth City Council ahead of the fixture regarding parking on the day due to the large crowd expected on the day.
To ensure safety, and respect to the local residents, we are asking supporters attending the game to use public transport and to not drive and park at the ground or surrounding areas prior of kick-off.
Darren Stoneman of the City Council writes: “We will be suspending all parking in the street around the ground with the use of signage and cones and this will mean the area will become full enforceable by my team should anyone ignore the signage.”
Mr Stoneman adds: “We will also have a contractor on standby and any vehicle which is parked in an inconsiderate or dangerous manner will be removed at the cost to the vehicle owner.”
Safety is paramount ahead of the festival of football in Plymouth and the football club urges fans to seek local bus routes or to be dropped off ahead of the fixture.
Plymouth Parkway are very much looking forward to hosting Plymouth Argyle and we ask for your co-operation when travelling to the game.
The link to Plymouth City Bus can be found HERE with buses travelling by Bolitho Park up to every 15 minutes. There is also a host of buses that travel past Crownhill with the football ground a 10-minute walk away.
Tickets for the fixture have been selling extremely well and if you are still looking to purchase a ticket, you can do so HERE.
As a football club, we ask you to follow the guidelines above and ensure the day is a successful and safe event.
