FA Cup Preview

Cadbury Heath next up in the FA Cup for Parkway

We embark on another trip this Saturday in the FA Cup as we travel to Bristol to take on Western League opponents Cadbury Heath.

This is another great test for us against Western League opponents as we look to continue our unbeaten start to the season and also look to progress further within the most prestigious cup competition in the world.

We are the last team standing from the SWPL so we hope to do ourselves and the league proud and build on two fantastic previous away day wins at higher league opponents Buckland and Bridgewater respectively.

This will be a very tough encounter against a very good Cadbury team who are in excellent form currently. We will certainly need to be back to our best if we wish to progress. In midweek Cadbury drew at home with league leaders Melksham so they will be in confident mood ahead of the game.

As a group we have had a good few days off with an excellent training session on Tuesday to prepare fully for the game. We have a good strong squad travelling to Cadbury Heath so we are expecting an excellent game of football. John Heveran is unfortunately ruled out long-term with a knee injury and Jordan Trott and Luke Rundle continue to progress to full fitness and we hope to have them available really soon.

With the exception of the aforementioned we have have an 16 strong squad available to choose from.

To get through would be an amazing achievement for the club and financially is very rewarding too. Who knows where we could get to with a good draw and a slice of luck. As previously stated our cup final and dream would be to make the first round proper and as it stands we are only 3 games away from doing that.

The coach leaves Bolitho Park at 10.30am on Saturday and we hope to see many of our fantastic supporters travelling with us or at the ground.
