Genny Turner
Secretary
Brief info
With deep roots in grassroots football, Genny brings years of experience and a passion for youth development to her role as a Director at Plymouth Parkway. Her football journey began in the early 2000s at Woolwell Juniors, where she served as Club Secretary, helping to oversee and support the growth of numerous youth teams.
She joined Parkway ahead of the 2010/11 season, taking on the role of Club Secretary and playing a pivotal role in establishing the club’s youth section. Under her guidance, the first Parkway youth team was launched, managed by former Parkway player Wade Price, marking the beginning of a new era for the club. While proud of the club’s achievements and rapid progression in recent years, Genny firmly believes the story is far from over. The continued growth of the club, on and off the pitch, is a source of inspiration and motivation. What excites her most about being a Director is the drive and ambition that fuels the club at every level. Being part of a close-knit team committed to taking Parkway to new heights makes the challenge all the more rewarding.
Genny’s favourite Parkway player of all-time is Glyn Hobbs, the goalscorer of the popular strike vs Tavistock in 2017, however her favourite player is Thierry Henry. Her personal favourite footballing moment was winning the treble with Parkway, she enjoys walking her dogs with Gaz and having family time and will never say no to a perfect pot roast beef.
Genny is also Chairman of our Youth section. Genny initiated our youth section by the introduction of our first youth team back in 2012, this saw Ex Parkway Legend Wade Price as the first Parkway youth Manager.
