Tom Cooper
Community Director
Brief info
Tom brings a background in education and a strong sense of community to his role as a Director at Parkway. Originally moving to the city to study and complete his teacher training, he has since worked as a secondary school history teacher in a number of Plymouth schools, developing deep roots within the local area.
For him, success at Parkway goes far beyond results on the pitch. It’s about establishing the club as a central and positive force within the local area, a place where families, schools, local organisations, and supporters can feel a sense of belonging. He firmly believes that Parkway has the potential to be one of the city’s great community assets, and is committed to helping the club realise that potential.
He is also keen to play a role in growing the fan base, helping more people discover the unique experience of a matchday at Bolitho Park and what it means to be part of the Parkway family. What excites him most about being a Director is the opportunity to give something back to the community through creative ideas, meaningful partnerships, and collaborative events, all while contributing to the club’s continued growth and ambition.
A popular choice, Mikey Williams is Tom’s favourite all-time Parkway player, and his favourite player is David Beckham the reason why he is still a Manchester United fan to this day. His favourite moment in football was watching his local team Bristol Rovers win promotion to League 2 at Wembley after beating Grimsby on penalties in the National League playoff final with his grandad.
Tom has been a keen golfer since a young age, and loves spending time with friends, and will never say no to a plate of spaghetti and meatballs.
