Plymouth, UK – 16 September 2025 – Plymouth Parkway Football Club today welcomed the first intake of students onto its newly launched Scholarship Programme, which will run in partnership with Discovery College Plymouth. The initiative is supported by Marshall Motors SW Ltd, who have been confirmed as the programme’s main sponsor. 

The Scholarship Programme gives aspiring young players the opportunity to combine elite-level football training with academic study. Delivered alongside Discovery College Plymouth as the education provider, it ensures students work towards recognised qualifications while developing their football careers. The dual approach is designed to prepare participants for success both on the pitch and beyond it. 

Marshall Motors SW Ltd, a well- established, family-run community garage serving the South West, will sponsor the programme, helping the club provide the resources and infrastructure needed to give aspiring players a clear pathway forward.

The first group of students began their scholarship today, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for both the club and the local community. Each player will now embark on a journey that combines professional-level football coaching with a strong academic foundation.
