A tough Tavistock test awaits returning Parkway management team
So after a positive start to the new season a big test is waiting ahead for Darren and I at our former club Tavistock. Both sides go into the game in excellent form with three victories from three so this is sure to be a terrific encounter for all involved.
Tavistock will be amongst the title contenders this season and have a very strong team at their disposal so we will know we will need to be at our best for this one. Tavistock has a terrific set=up and playing surface so we are as a group really looking forward to this game at Langsford Park as it is one of the best places to visit.
Last season there was nothing to choose between us and we both shared 1-0 home wins and I am sure both sides will be battling it out again this season for a top three finish.
Nothing will be decided following this game but it will sure be a good marker on how good both sides are as in the league we both face our toughest opposition to date.
We come into the game in confident mood having won our opening fixtures. The team spirit is excellent and we are playing with real confidence. The squad has been getting stronger and stronger and tomorrow evening is no exception as we are delighted to welcome back Dan Lewis and Mark Berry who have both been on their holidays. We are now almost at full strength with the exception of Jordan Trott so healthy competition for places is keeping everyone on their toes.
Saturday on paper was an excellent result with plenty of goals scored and chances created however we must ensure we do not become complacent and sloppy in our performances. We will certainly have a lot tougher tests than Saturday proved to be, starting with Tavistock and we are well aware of this and will be fully prepared for this latest test.
Hope to see you all tomorrow evening in what I am sure will be a fantastic spectacle.
