Parkway strengthen with Finch and Shanley additions
New additions at Bolitho ParkBy Mike Parrish
Plymouth Parkway can confirm two new additions to the squad as the season moves into December.
With the superb Mack Allan managing a niggling injury, the club have moved quickly to add cover in the goalkeeping department, bringing in highly-rated stopper Issac Finch on a one-month loan from Bristol City. Parkway would like to thank the Robins for their assistance in facilitating the move.
Finch, a 6ft 4, left-footed goalkeeper, spent time with Yate Town last season and impressed at Bath City during an emergency loan spell, earning a man-of-the-match award. Comfortable playing out from the back but equally capable of going long when needed, he is commanding from crosses and a dominant presence in his area.
There is also a very familiar face returning to Bolitho Park, with cultured full-back Reece Shanley re-joining the Yellows following his departure from Devon outfit Willand Rovers. A well-known name across the Devon non-league scene, Shanley played an instrumental role in helping Parkway avoid the drop on the final day of the 2022/23 season and now returns to add further options across the full-back areas as Parkway continue to plot their path through December and into the new year.
Both Finch and Shanley will be included in the squad for the trip to Hanwell this weekend. Supporters are encouraged to follow club channels for updates, with the heavy weather forecast potentially affecting the fixture.
