Next Generation gets underway
The under 18s joined the club this summer from Plymstock United, having enjoyed great success throughout junior football.
The team has a reputation for playing an entertaining game and are worth a watch whenever you can get to support them.
‘With committed and ambitious players the opportunity to join Parkway was too good to pass up, we see this move as an ideal platform for the players to develop and progress into adult football at a higher level’ said team manager Ged King! We expect the players to seize this opportunity and very quickly impress all at the club.
The group has been together since 2005 (aged 5) and many of the players have been with the team for many years in between spells at Argyle, Exeter, Torquay or Yeovil academies. We play a passing game with the keeper and our defenders set the tone with confident distribution. It’s better than watching Argyle according to our spectators and we hope we can attract more Parkway fans to come and watch and see the future!
The priority this year is to maintain ball possession as individuals and as the collective team and we will be working hard to develop this element of the game so that the players are able to step up to the next levels and support the senior teams which can only be good for the club long-term.
We look forward to welcoming all opponents to Millbay Park where we will be playing our home games.
First game this Sunday 4th September at 2pm Millbay Park vs AC Plymouth.
