Plymouth Parkway begin a series of three home games in a week as they first welcome Walton & Hersham to Bolitho Park for match day 6 of the Southern Premier League South Campaign.
The Yellows notched their first win of the season last weekend, dispatching Wessex League Premier side Baffins Milton Rovers 4-1 in the FA Cup first qualifying round. Dylan Jones opened the scoring before Matt Wright bagged a perfect hat-trick, boosting morale in Chris McPhee’s camp.
Walton & Hersham are the first visitors in a packed week at Bolitho, with Taunton Town following on Tuesday and Westbury United rounding off the home theme in the next round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
Billy Rowley’s Walton & Hersham were involved in a breathtaking cup tie in midweek following a 3-3 draw last Saturday against Hanworth Villa. The midweek replay was just as exciting with Walton & Hersham needing extra time to secure a 4-2 win and book their place in the next round against National League South side Farnborough Town.
The Swans’ league form has been equally impressive, spearheaded by summer signing David Rogalski’s five goals and four assists in August. After an opening day stumble against AFC Totton, Walton & Hersham have reeled off four straight wins, including a 5-2 thumping of playoff hopefuls Merthyr Town. Their last league outing saw Rogalski net a late winner against Chertsey Town in front of 1,143 fans, lifting them to second in the table.
Parkway will welcome Cardiff City Under 23 loanee goalkeeper Ewan Griffiths to the squad for his debut this Saturday. Ryan Brett is also aiming for a return after missing the previous weekend’s action. Sam Joce has joined Tavistock on loan, while Jack Crago’s loan stint at Helston Athletic ends this weekend. Alex Cairo remains sidelined due to injury.
Last season’s encounters with the Swans provided high drama for Parkway. Dylan Jones grabbed a 94th-minute winner at the Hub, while the return fixture at Bolitho saw Parkway battle back from two down to snatch a point, with Jones again on target in the 88th minute.

Ahead of the fixture, the Plymouth Parkway board has announced a warning to fans attending fixtures at Bolitho for the remainder of the season….
A Message to our Parkway Family
At Plymouth Parkway, we pride ourselves on fostering a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere at Bolitho Park. It’s a place where everyone should feel safe and proud to be a part of our community ethos.
However, recent weeks have seen a few isolated incidents of inappropriate behaviour from a small number of younger attendees. While these instances are not reflective of the vast majority, they do impact the positive environment we work so hard to maintain for all.
Therefore, after careful consideration, we’re adjusting our admittance policy for unaccompanied young people. Starting with the Walton & Hersham fixture this Saturday, the minimum age for unaccompanied entry will be 16.
This means anyone aged 15 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult to enter the ground. We understand this change may cause some inconvenience, but we firmly believe it’s a necessary step to ensure Bolitho Park remains the special, family-oriented place we all know and love.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
