Parkway heading to the Northeast

PLYMOUTH PARKWAY will travel to County Durham on Saturday 15th January after being drawn against Spennymoor Town, a mere 388 miles away.

After four memorable home games at Bolitho Park, it will be the second away fixture in this season’s competition following a visit to Highworth Town in the 2nd qualifying round.

In the previous two rounds, Parkway have progressed thanks to victories over National League South sides, and they will have to be at their very best again on the road to get past Spennymoor Town of the National League North.

Parkway travelled to the Northeast during their FA Vase 2019-20 run to the Quarter Final where their Wembley dream was ended by Hebburn Town who would go onto win the competition.

“Back to the Toon we go” were the words of Parkway boss Lee Hobbs following the draw which was live on talkSPORT 2 earlier this afternoon. Hobbs would add: “I’m gutted we couldn’t get another home tie for our fans, but we have enjoyed some special moments and it’s now time to pack our bags and get back out on the road. We have no issue with the journey time and we can’t wait to get going, I’m sure our fans will travel in good numbers, and it will be another historic day for the club to look forward to. The Journey continues” added Hobbs.

Details on the coach and travel arrangements will be finalised in due course for fans looking to book a seat to the Northeast.
