One night in Bristol as Parkway prepare for Harrow Borough
Parkway v HARROW BOROUGH | Match PreviewBy Mike Parrish
Plymouth Parkway will travel to Bristol Manor Farm’s NL Services Stadium for a ‘home’ fixture against Harrow Borough on Tuesday evening. This move to a new venue comes after relentless rainfall engulfed the city, prompting Parkway to ensure they play their scheduled home fixtures. Thursday’s evening home fixture against Salisbury has also been relocated to the Circle of Care Community Stadium, home of Exmouth Town.
Despite the change in venue, it will be another crucial evening for Lee Hobbs’ men, who have the opportunity to secure their fourth win in five matches and further distance themselves from the relegation zone. They climbed out of the relegation places following an impressive 4-1 victory over Swindon Supermarine, played at Bulpit Lane, home of Hungerford Town.
Despite conceding an early goal, Parkway remained resolute in their task, with goals from Dylan Jones (x2), Shane White, and Callum Hall securing a morale-boosting win, three points, and a climb up the table to 15th place. With plenty of work still to be done, there will be no loss of focus ahead of another crucial league fixture.
Harrow Borough will travel to Bristol knowing that nothing less than three points will suffice. The ‘Boro’ currently sit second from bottom with 33 points, nine points away from safety, and only four games remaining. A victory against Beaconsfield Town on Saturday helped steady the ship after heavy defeats to Chesham United and Hungerford Town, as well as an entertaining 4-4 draw with Walton & Hersham.
The NL Services Stadium is set for a night of drama as both teams battle for points, as the Southern Premier South, despite the rain’s best efforts, reaches its boiling point.
