Parkway act quickly and move home fixture to West Berkshire

By Mike Parrish

The Plymouth Parkway board has taken immediate action to move Sunday’s scheduled Southern League home fixture against Swindon Supermarine from Bolitho Park to Bulpit Lane, the home of Hungerford Town FC.

This decision has been made due to heavy rain forecast across the city and to aid the Bolitho Park surface with further scheduled fixtures in place at PL5 next week.

The football club has already seen home fixtures moved from Bolitho Park to Yate Town and Plymouth Argyle, and Sunday will see another temporary home ground for the day at Bulpit Lane.

Following this decision, there will be no supporter’s coach available for the trip to West Berkshire and a 2pm kick-off time remains in place.

The football club expresses its sincere thanks to everyone at Hungerford Town for their assistance in getting this fixture played and for their cooperation during this difficult time.

Please note, as advertised, the Full Time Club House will remain open for the Manchester United vs Liverpool Premier League fixture with the bar open from 2 pm.

The football club extends a message of thanks to our faithful supporters who will no doubt understand the difficult decision made to ensure these games are played with the end of the season approaching on April 27.
