Parkway Thank Long-Standing Shirt Sponsors

Parkway Timber & Rabart Decorating Center

By Mike Parrish

For the first time in more than eight years, the Parkway Timber name will no longer appear on the front of a Plymouth Parkway first-team shirt.

It marks the end of one of the club’s longest-standing commercial partnerships, with Parkway Timber playing a significant role throughout one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.

Since becoming front-of-shirt sponsor, the company has been part of an incredible journey that has seen Parkway rise from the South West Peninsula League to the Southern League Premier South, collecting two league titles, promotion during the Covid-affected season and creating unforgettable memories in both the FA Vase and FA Trophy, including memorable trips to Hebburn Town and Spennymoor Town.

Established in 1990 Parkway Timber has built an outstanding reputation across the South West construction industry and has proudly supported the football club throughout the last decade.

The relationship stretches back even further, with chairman Mark Russell and Andy Quick first meeting during their school days before reuniting years later when Russell approached his lifelong friend about becoming part of Parkway’s journey.

Reflecting on the partnership, Russell said:

“I know I speak on behalf of everyone at Plymouth Parkway when I simply say thank you to Andy.

“To see Parkway Timber alongside the football club throughout our rise has been incredibly special. We’ve shared so many fantastic memories together and to experience that journey alongside a lifelong friend makes it even more special.

“Andy has been a huge supporter of this football club and everyone associated with Parkway is incredibly grateful for everything he has done.”

Although Parkway Timber will no longer feature on the front of the club’s shirts, the company will remain an important commercial partner and continue to have a presence around Bolitho Park.

The club can also confirm that Rabart Decorating Centres will conclude a successful four-year spell as back-of-shirt sponsor ahead of the new season.

Vice-Chairman Gez Baggott paid tribute to the Burrington Way-based business following years of valued support.

“I can only thank everyone at Rabart for their backing over the past four seasons.

“My relationship with the team there makes their support even more special, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done for Plymouth Parkway. We wish everyone at Rabart continued success for the future.”

With the 2026/27 season fast approaching, supporters will get their first look at Parkway’s brand-new home and away kits when they are unveiled next week. The new shirts, featuring the club’s new front and back of shirt partners, will be worn for the first time against Plymouth Argyle.

Before that new chapter begins, however, the football club places on record its sincere thanks to both Parkway Timber and Rabart Decorating Centres.

Their support has played a significant role in the club’s journey over recent years, and their contribution to Plymouth Parkway will always be remembered.

As preparations continue for an exciting new era under Karl Curtis, the club remains committed to building new partnerships with businesses that share Parkway’s ambition and community values.

Businesses interested in becoming part of the Parkway story are encouraged to contact Head of Operations Mike Parrish via [email protected] to discuss the wide range of commercial opportunities available at Bolitho Park.
