Parkway are on the road again to face Basingstoke Town at the Winklebury Sports Complex in a match that could finally see the lads push themselves out of the relegation zone. The Yellows are following on from a windy and rainy basement battle against Tiverton, where both sides had solid chances, but it ended up finishing 0-0.

Plymouth are in decent form with only two defeats in the last five and seem to be driven by these difficult games against top teams – seeing as they got victories over Gloucester and Havant & Waterlooville – so this match against 8^th placed Basingstoke is set to be a good one. Parkway are really clinical in front of goal as of late, scoring 9 in their last five, and excluding the irregular performance against Frome Town, the lads have only let two goals past them in recent games.

Saturdays opponents – Basingstoke – are in interesting form. The November period for them was seemingly very tough but they managed to pull through and start getting some wins in December. However, they are currently winless in their last three matches, so maybe now is the ideal time to play them. They have been good in front of goal, scoring 11 in their last five, but they have conceded nine in the same number of games, so maybe this one will be full of goals.

Previous matches against this team have been difficult for Parkway, with the most recent one being a loss, and two other matchups resulted in another loss, and then a draw, so Plymouth will be wanting that win.

Away games are always tough, but hopefully The Yellows can bring us our first victory of 2025.
