Plymouth Parkway partner with Touchline Group as club continues to build for the future

By Parkway Media

Plymouth Parkway is delighted to announce a new partnership with Touchline Group, who will support the club in developing new commercial relationships and generating additional partnership revenue.

Touchline will work alongside Parkway’s existing operation to identify and approach businesses capable of becoming important partners of the football club, providing additional commercial reach across the South West and nationally.

The partnership comes at an exciting time for Parkway. The club continues to establish itself at Southern League Premier South level, with an ambition to continue progressing through the football pyramid and bring further success to Plymouth and the South West.

That ambition extends well beyond results on a Saturday afternoon. Parkway has continued investing in the foundations around the football club, including the recent decision to make First Team Manager Karl Curtis’ position full-time as part of its longer-term plans for progression.

The partnership also comes as Parkway enters an important new phase in the development of the football club.

The proposed new structure involving MEC Study Group represents another part of that wider progression, bringing additional experience, international reach and opportunities as Parkway looks towards the future. Alongside the development of the football operation, the club is continuing to strengthen the commercial foundations required to support that ambition.

For Parkway, these developments are about building the right foundations around the football club and creating greater opportunities for the future, while retaining the identity, relationships and community that remain central to the club.

Touchline will now add further resources to that work. Rather than changing the relationships and identity already established at Bolitho Park, the partnership is designed to expand Parkway’s routes to market, taking the story, ambition and commercial opportunities of the club to businesses that may not previously have engaged with Plymouth Parkway.

Mike Parrish, Head of Operations at Plymouth Parkway, said:

“A huge amount of work has gone into developing Parkway’s commercial operation and, importantly, making existing partners feel genuinely part of the football club and involved in what is happening at Parkway.”

“That approach will continue, but as the football club moves into its next cycle of development, it is important that the commercial operation grows alongside it. Touchline gives Parkway additional capacity, reach and expertise to do exactly that.

“From the very first conversations, Dan Summerfield has shown a real enthusiasm for Parkway and a clear understanding of what the club is trying to achieve. That has been hugely encouraging and has given the partnership a strong foundation from the outset.

“There is significant potential in what Touchline can bring to Parkway, particularly in introducing the club to new businesses and developing relationships that can become genuinely exciting partnerships. This is an important partnership for the next stage of Parkway’s journey, and there is real excitement about what can be achieved together.”

Daniel Summerfield, Founder of Touchline Group, added:

“Parkway immediately stood out as a club with genuine ambition and personality. There is already strong work taking place commercially, which provides something really positive to build from.

“The opportunity to work alongside Parkway and take the club’s story to new regional and national businesses is something that really excites me. There is a clear sense of where Parkway wants to go, and Touchline can play an important role in helping create the commercial relationships that support that journey.”

The focus will be on developing partnerships that deliver value on both sides.

Parkway has already demonstrated that philosophy through its existing partnerships, with the club making clear that it wants businesses to become actively involved. Touchline’s approach will support that objective by starting with the needs of prospective partners and identifying how Parkway’s matchday audience, digital presence, community, teams and wider commercial inventory can help businesses achieve them.

As Parkway continues to build towards the next stage of its journey, strengthening the commercial foundations behind the football club will remain an important part of that progression.

Plymouth Parkway welcomes Touchline Group as an important new partner and looks forward to developing new relationships and opportunities together as the club continues to build for the future.
