Pack the Park for Parkway's biggest home game of the season

Parkway v Hayes & Yeading United | Match Preview

By Mike Parrish

On Wednesday evening, Bolitho Park will witness Parkway’s biggest game in recent memory as they welcome Hayes & Yeading to PL5 for a crucial relegation six-pointer.

Parkway has been left frustrated in recent weeks, with a combination of travel, mistakes, and some clinical football by opponents leaving them with only one win from their last 8 games.

On Monday evening, AFC Totton arrived in Plymouth and produced 90 minutes of football that emphatically showed why they sit second in the table and are many supporters’ favorites to progress through the playoffs. They may have left Bolitho with the plaudits, but Parkway certainly didn’t disgrace themselves. Still, there was a sense around Bolitho that everybody already had one eye on Wednesday evening.

It can’t be much closer as Hayes & Yeading make the trip to Devon. With so many permutations heading into the last weekend, it’s a fan’s dream to discuss all the possible scenarios. For Parkway, it’s simple: Win the remaining two games, and the worry will be lifted. With one point separating the sides, whoever wins will move out of the relegation zone ahead of the final round of fixtures this Saturday.

United travel to Bolitho Park in relatively good form, having won two of their last four fixtures, and will be aware that 3 points at Bolitho will put them in control of their own destiny ahead of Saturday.

Despite the perils of relegation, the final few fixtures will provide edge-of-your-seat drama, and the club’s message is simple: Please join us, get behind the players, and let’s pack the park.

Gates open from 6 pm – We look forward to seeing you there.
