Play Your Part This Saturday at Bolitho Park

By Parkway Media

Saturday promises to be one of the standout days of Plymouth Parkway’s pre-season as League One neighbours Plymouth Argyle return to Bolitho Park for the first time in three years.

With Tom Cleverley’s side making the short trip across the city for their opening pre-season fixture, a bumper crowd is expected at the Theatre of Trees as Parkway supporters, Green Army fans and the wider Plymouth community come together for what promises to be a fantastic afternoon of football.

The fixture, proudly sponsored by Premier Prize Competitions, with Jewson as Match Ball Sponsor, also marks the first opportunity for supporters to see Karl Curtis’ Parkway side at Bolitho Park ahead of the new Southern League Premier South campaign.

Behind the scenes, preparations have been ongoing for weeks to ensure supporters enjoy the very best matchday experience possible.

Additional pop-up bars will be located around the ground, extra toilet facilities will be available, and the Burger Shack will be fully stocked throughout the afternoon. Supporters will also be able to visit the brand-new SWAZ Pop-Up Merchandise Hut, where the new 2026/27 home and away shirts will be available to purchase for the very first time.

Thanks to front of shirt partner Premier Prize Competitions, supporters will also have the opportunity to enter a competition to win a brand-new car, adding another exciting attraction to what promises to be a memorable afternoon at Bolitho Park.

Families can also look forward to appearances from the club mascots, while the Plymouth Cheerleaders will provide the half-time entertainment.

Chairman Mark Russell is looking forward to welcoming supporters through the turnstiles but has asked everyone attending to play their part in making the day a success.

“Fixtures like this take an incredible amount of planning, and none of it would be possible without the dedication of our volunteers and staff.

“We’re expecting one of our biggest crowds of the summer, so all we ask is that supporters arrive in good time, show patience where needed and help us create a brilliant experience for everyone attending.

“If we all play our part, it will be a fantastic day for both football clubs and everyone coming through the gates.”

Supporters are encouraged to plan their journey before travelling to Bolitho Park.

Parking around the ground will be limited, and the club asks supporters to respect local residents wherever possible. Fans are encouraged to use public transport, car share where they can, or make use of the club’s official taxi partner, Easy Cars.

By downloading the Easy Cars app and using the code PPFC1, supporters can receive 10% off their journey.

The Number 61 bus stops close to Bolitho Park, while a number of services run through Crownhill, leaving only a short walk to the stadium.

With warm weather forecast throughout the afternoon, supporters are also encouraged to stay hydrated and, as always, show patience and respect to the volunteers and staff who will be working hard to ensure everyone enjoys their visit to Bolitho Park.

The football doesn’t stop when the final whistle blows either.

The Full Time will remain open into the evening as England take on Norway in the World Cup quarter-final, giving supporters the opportunity to continue what promises to be a memorable day of football.

Saturday is about far more than a pre-season friendly. It’s an opportunity to showcase everything that makes Plymouth Parkway special.

A packed Bolitho Park. A welcoming atmosphere. A fantastic day for the city.

Now, all that’s left is for us all to play our part.
