Cornwall-born central defender Jack Matthews joined Plymouth Parkway on a three-month loan from Truro City in September 2026.

Matthews began his footballing journey with Newquay before joining the Plymouth Argyle Academy, progressing through the ranks and making his first-team debut in an FA Cup tie against Leeds United in 2024.

The 20-year-old has since gained valuable senior experience with loan spells at Taunton Town and Bath City, including making around 40 appearances for Taunton.

A player known for his competitiveness, composure and desire to win, Matthews also has a strong connection with Parkway manager Karl Curtis, having previously worked with him during his time in the Argyle Academy.
