Fresh from their debut win, newly promoted Plymouth Parkway Princesses started strongly in their 2nd match in division 1.
Both teams took the 1st quarter to settle into their game, but Parkway took their opportunities, building an early lead over Dynamite of 9 – 2.
With strong defensive play from Sophie Dunlavey, Tamsin Davies and Hayleigh Bickford, Parkway only let in 3 goals in the 2nd quarter whilst at the other end of the court, with precise shooting and a relentless hunger for the ball, shooters Sarah Taylor and Sally Reynolds scored a further 10 goals, making the half time score an impressive 19 – 5.
Fantastic link up play from Hayleigh Bickford in centre court and outstanding passing in attack by Emma Price and Sue May meant that Parkway could extend their lead at the end of the third quarter to 26 – 7.
Dynamite made some changes in the fourth quarter, but Parkway Princesses did not let their guard down, with great team passing and retaining possession of the ball meant the match ended 32 – 9.
Dynamite’s WD and GA and Parkway’s GS Sarah Taylor got nominated players of the match.
