Reserve side start their Season

After a fantastic 2016/17 season winning the ECPL Division 1 undefeated and picking up the Roy Radford cup on route to promotion, Plymouth Parkway Reserves are relishing the challenge of stepping up into the Premier division this year.

With a dominance of Torpoint Athletic, since the last incarnation of Plymouth Parkway Reserves, 5 seasons ago, the challenge has been set to try and reclaim the trophy to Bolitho Park.

Manager Andy Notman will have his work cut out for him with an astonishing 11 players missing for the first game of the season.  A mixture of injureies, holidays and Board Masters festival has really dented the squad for the first game of the season.

This will also be the first competitive game with a new goalkeeper after James Sleeman moved on to Millbrook in the summer.

Parkway do welcome back Severiano Catindig Stagg from America and Mark Berry from Bodmin Town and will hand a re-debut to Matt Thompson who played for Plymouth Parkway 1st team nearly a decade ago.  Anthony  Mason will also be handed a debut.

Last seasons Top Goalscorer Elliot Cunningham is available and hot young prospect Jack Rhead is back from injury that has kept him sidelined most of pre-season.

Squad:

Dale England, John Wyatt, Simon Ward, Jay Chard, Mark Blackwell, Stirling Woodside (Capt), Mark Berry, Matt Thompson, Grant Craven, Jack Rhead, Elliot Cunningham, Sam Brewster, Fabian Ewers-Johnson, Severiano Catindig-Stagg, Anthony Mason.
