Ryan Lane agrees contract extension with Parkway
Plymouth Parkway are delighted to announce that Ryan Lane has this week agreed a new contract extension with the club.
Since his arrival at Bolitho in 2017, Ryan has emerged as a key player and his performances over the past few seasons have played a huge part in Plymouth Parkway reaching the Southern League Division One South.
This contract extension is another exciting step for the football club as chairman Mark Russell explains: We are delighted to offer Ryan a new contract with the football club, it is fully deserved and as a board, we always wanted to be in a position to offer local players a chance to play at a high level and be rewarded for that. This announcement is a big day for the club”
The man behind Ryan’s move to Bolitho is Parkway manager Lee Hobbs and the boss has helped play a pivotal role in Ryan’s rise through the Parkway ranks: “Ryan has been with me since day one and has become a man during his time at Bolitho.
Ryan now sets the highest standard possible in training and on match days. He’s a future captain of this great club, I’ve no doubt about that. His personality, performances, attitude and application have been of the highest standard and Ryan is a major asset for Parkway.”
Lee adds: “Laney signing a new deal will no doubt go down very well with everyone associated with the football club and a real statement of intent from the board and myself.”

Ryan’s Parkway career has flourished since making the switch to left-back as the defender was involved in the club’s historic FA Vase cup run during the 2019-20 season.
The left-back was a big presence during both Western League Covid hit seasons that culminated in Parkway being awarded upward movement into Step 4 of the non-league pyramid. This season, the defender has netted 3 times and helped Parkway reach the 4th round of Parkway’s inaugural appearance in the FA Trophy.
This club statement marks an exciting few days for the football with more announcements to follow in due course.
