Wright on Target: Matt Returns to Bolitho Park!
Matt Wright returns to ParkwayPlymouth Parkway Football Club is thrilled to welcome the return of striker Matt Wright for the upcoming campaign.
Matt Wright is no stranger to Bolitho Park, having previously joined Parkway for the 2021-22 Toolstation Western League Campaign. Despite facing setbacks due to injury and Covid-19, the striker showcased his abilities by scoring crucial goals and becoming an influencing presence in the dressing room.
Reflecting on his return to the Yellow of Parkway, Matt expressed his delight and eagerness for the challenge ahead. “I’m happy to be back at Parkway.” he shared “I want to thank Bideford for their support, and I wish Sean and the team every success this season. For me, returning to Parkway is a fantastic opportunity and I’m fully prepared to make a big impact. My experience is something I hope to contribute to the squad, and I can’t wait to hit the ground running.”
Despite a heavy defeat on the opening day, Matt was the big positive following a below par performance from the squad and his presence in the dressing room alone could play an important role in the months to follow.
The club expresses its gratitude to Bideford Town for their assistance in finalising Matt Wright’s signature, facilitating his return to Bolitho Park. The proximity to his doorstep and his eagerness to once again don the Yellow of Parkway played pivotal roles in Matt’s decision to rejoin Parkway.
