Stuart Dudley joins the Parkway dugout

Plymouth Parkway welcome goalkeeping coach Stuart Dudley to the dugout ahead of the new season after the departure of Sam Doel who served the club impeccably over the course of the past two seasons.

Sam will be leaving Parkway to follow his dream of becoming a Fireman and we wish Sam every success in his new role and look forward to welcoming him back to Bolitho in the near future.

Sam’s replacement has a wealth of experience and will look to make his own mark as pre-season approaches. Stuart began coaching at the age of 21 and spent three years coaching youngster’s in America before a move back across the pond would see him turn out for Plymouth Parkway, amongst other clubs.

He would also become assistant to now vice-chairman Gez Baggott during his tenure as Parkway manager and go on to manage Wadebridge to a SWPL division one title. Stuart would also work under the stewardship of Parkway head coach Matt Cusack during Matt’s time with Saltash United.

With Bolitho Park like a second home to Stuart, it seems the perfect time for the coach to take up the vacant goalkeeping coach role ahead of the new Southern League campaign.

After the move was finalised, Stuart stated: “I’m keen to see the club continue moving up the pyramid, that’s the major motivation for me to be back here, the level of football. Having been involved in the local game for nearly 30 years, seeing a local club talk about ambition and then actually doing something about it is fantastic.”

Stuart will team up with Parkway keeper Kyle Moore who was one of Lee Hobbs’ first signings after taking the Parkway job and has grown in stature with the passing of every season. “I’ve seen Kyle play a few times and I’m looking forward to working with him. If there are improvements, I can help him to make then all the better, but he’s a decent keeper already so mainly keeping him sharp and focussed will be first aims”, added Stuart.

With Stuart’s connection and love for the football club, we are delighted to welcome the coach back to Bolitho Park.

Welcome Stuart.
