Plymouth Parkway can confirm that Taylor Scarff has joined Torquay United, bringing his two-year spell at Bolitho Park to an end.

The 26-year-old central defender joined Parkway in the summer of 2024 and made 84 appearances, scoring four goals during his time with the club.

Taylor was part of the Parkway squad that reached the Fourth Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup in 2024/25, the furthest the club has progressed in the competition.

He also played a significant role in helping Parkway secure Southern League Premier South survival last season, making 34 appearances across all competitions.

Reflecting on Taylor’s departure, Parkway manager Karl Curtis said:

“We are disappointed to be losing Taylor, but we respect his decision to join Torquay as a full-time footballer.

“This is another example of a non-league player not going through an academy system but still finding his way into being a full-time footballer, even at the age of 26.

“Taylor and his family have to take so much credit for this, and I know I speak on behalf of everyone at Plymouth Parkway when I wish Taylor all the very best.”

Away from the pitch, Taylor and the wider Scarff family have become an important part of the Parkway community, and the club places on record its sincere thanks to them for their support and contribution over the past two seasons.

Taylor now begins the next chapter of his footballing career with Torquay United under Jimmy Ball at Plainmoor.
