From Midfield Maestro to Striker extraordinaire - The Thrilling Addition You Didn't See Coming!
PARKWAY GEET THEIR MANBy Mike Parrish
Parkway have made their first mid-season signing and are delighted to announce the signature of Reece Thomson.
With over 100 appearances for Saltash United and a promising career trajectory, Reece’s arrival adds depth and dynamism to the squad.
Parkway would like to place on record our thanks to Saltash United for ensuring the move would be finalised in time for this weekend’s fixture.
Like Henry Wilson, Reece is moving up a level and the striker is already anticipating the challenge ahead. Last season, Reece was part of the Mousehole squad that stormed through the Western League, clinching promotion to the Southern League Division One South. His experience with a successful team at a lower division promises to bring fresh insights and ambition to the Parkway squad.
The signature will provide the management team with another option in the final third as Reece joins Jack Crago, Matt Wright, and Dylan Jones in attack.
Speaking following his arrival, Reece shares: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to test myself and hopefully assert myself at this level. I want to help contribute towards the team positively.”
A delighted Parkway manager lee Hobbs adds: “We tried signing Reece at the start of our first season in the Southern League so are well aware of his ability and his ambition to play higher.
Reece comes to us having had a successful time down at Mousehole last season where I no he would have been coached well so will be coming to us a better player than when we first tried to sign him. Hopefully he can hit the ground running & provide good competition for Wrighty & Jack.”
Reece goes into the squad for Saturday’s home league fixture against Hanwell Town and everybody associated at Parkway wishes the striker every success for the season…
Welcome to Parkway, Reece.
