Parkway can confirm that striker Tom Bath will miss the remainder of the season after rupturing his Achilles yesterday evening.

The innocuous moment happened in the dying minutes of the Southern League Division One fixture vs Highworth Town last night that leaves the striker with a long recovery back to fitness.

Bath had already picked up the man of the match award after his superb first half goal and tireless hard work throughout the evening.

The striker would take to Twitter this morning stating: “Absolutely gutted to have ruptured my Achilles last night. Season cut short so close to the end but still so much to play for.

I know the boys will be on it. Appreciate the messages and the road to recovery starts now.”

We wish Tom Bath a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back at Bolitho in due course.
