Parkway Looking for Some Bolitho Magic
Parkway v Dorchester Town | Match PreviewBy Jack Hobbs
Plymouth Parkway welcome league strugglers Dorchester Town to Bolitho Park on Tuesday as they look to finally kickstart their season.
The Yellows fell to a third successive loss on Saturday after being beaten 1-0 away at Havant & Waterlooville and are currently sat 20th in the Southern South Premier.

It’s been a frustrating start to the season for Chris McPhee’s Parkway, and it’s a feeling which is shared between both staff and fans.
Speaking on their start to the season, Parkway winger, James Watts-Barciela, said: “Our start to the season’s been a bit mixed I think.”
“Obviously, results sometimes haven’t been the best, but I think we’re a good group and we’re playing quite well. I’m sure the results start coming.
“On paper, it could have been a worse start, but there’s been a few games where we would have liked to have come out of with at least a point, and some of them with three points.”
The 19-year-old has started the season brightly and has been one of Parkway’s brightest attacking spark, often pushing The Yellows forwards with his driving runs at goal.
Speaking on starting the season sharply, the winger said: “In pre-season, I put in a fair amount of work to make sure I was ready for the season.
“I wanted to take my chance when I got it.
“I took a bit of a different approach to make sure I was 100% up for it. Got a bit stronger, a bit fitter and made myself more physical for the league.
“I think I’ve had some really good performances, but I also want to start getting on the score sheet a lot more. I think sometimes been difficult, but it’s something, as an attacker, I need to be doing.
“I think I’ve been playing well, but I need to start getting my numbers up.”
Although only seven games into the season, Tuesday’s clash with Dorchester already feels like a hugely important match, and a vital opportunity to seize three points.
“I think it’s a massive one”, said Watts-Barciela, speaking on the Dorchester game.
“Especially at home, it’s one that’s a must win. We definitely need three points there and they’re the sort of games that, at this stage in the season, you have to start picking your points up.
“Everyone knows it’s a very important game and we’re going to have to fight for each other. Everyone’s going to have to be up for it, including the subs – if you come on, be as good as the man you’ve come off for.
“I think it’d be fairly similar approach. We’ll do what we’ve been doing, maybe make it a little bit tighter in terms of a couple of mistakes we’re making all over the pitch, but we’re not far away from being a very good team.”
Ahead of last Saturday’s trip to Havant & Waterlooville, Parkway announced the long-desired return Tylor Love-Holmes, who has joined on a short-term loan deal from Truro City until January.
Love-Holmes became a fan favourite last season with energetic performances and could play a major part in turning Parkway’s fortunes around this season.
“I think it’s brilliant (that he’s back)”, said Watts-Barciela.
“Everyone knows the effect he had last season. He was scoring nearly every opportunity he was getting and was putting in an absolute shift every time he played.
“I think everyone knows how privileged we are to have him back this season. Hopefully he’ll do the same as he did last year and get a few goals and assists and then we’ll start picking up a few more points.”
