There is also a blend of youth and experience elsewhere in the Chippenham squad. Piotr Petrynski and Will King have played every minute of the opening two games after progressing through the club’s academy, while defender Kevin Williams has built a career across lower leagues in Switzerland, Malta, Ireland and Germany.

Club captain Luke Haines provides another experienced presence at the back. Having initially played for Chippenham on loan from Swindon, Haines later moved on to Hereford before returning to the Bluebirds permanently in 2023 and taking on the captaincy.

For Parkway, Saturday will also represent another opportunity to continue building momentum away from Bolitho Park. There are no fresh injury concerns following Tuesday’s trip to Bath, while Hayden Turner could return to contention after missing the opening two games with a minor ongoing injury.

There is no previous competitive history between the two clubs, making Saturday’s fixture the first meeting between Parkway and Chippenham Town.

Two games into the season, the league table is already beginning to take shape, although nobody at Parkway will be getting carried away. Fifth place is an encouraging starting point, but Curtis will know the season will only get harder as it goes on.

Saturday provides another chance to add to the early points tally, maintain the unbeaten start and show that Parkway’s impressive opening week is the beginning of something rather than simply a fast start.
