Parkway look to continue thier recent good form in the Capital

Hendon vs Parkway | Match Preview

By Alex Haynes

Plymouth Parkway travel to the London Borough of Brent this Saturday to face Hendon. This will be Parkway’s first away fixture in nearly six weeks.

The season is well and truly up and running for the Yellows. After an inconsistent start, Parkway have now won their last four games in all competitions, including a dominant 4-0 win over second place Chesham United last weekend. The lads were in control throughout that match and were clinical in front of goal.

Parkway have been impressive during this unbeaten run and have not conceded a goal since the 11th of November. The win against the Generals lifted us out of the relegation zone and into 17th place, and we still have games in hand over teams around us to look forward to.

Hendon have been the more active of the two sides. They have won one of their three league games this month – a 3-1 victory over Didcot Town – and currently occupy 8th place on 31 points. Last time out, they narrowly lost 2-1 to Sailsbury.

With momentum on our side and confidence high, Parkway will go to Silver Jubilee Park looking to make it four league wins in a row. The Yellows are playing good football, scoring goals, and keeping clean sheets, so entertainment is all but guaranteed on Saturday afternoon.

Parkway were victorious in this fixture back in August at Bolitho, and the 3-0 win was our first of the season that put a stop to a losing streak. Last season, we beat Hendon comfortably at home, only for the Greens to avenge that result with a 3-1 win at Silver Jubilee Park.
