After a big weekend win, Parkway take a trip to London
Hayes & Yeading vs Parkway | Match PreviewBy Alex Haynes
Plymouth Parkway travel to the London Borough of Hillingdon this Tuesday for an away match against Hayes & Yeading United. The games are coming thick and fast as we catch up on rearranged fixtures.
On Saturday afternoon, Parkway continued their unbeaten run in emphatic style by beating play-off hopefuls Hungerford Town 6-2. The dominant win meant that the Yellows avenged their 7-0 defeat to the Crusaders at the start of the season. A plethora of top-quality goals were netted, the pick of which being long range strikes from Callum Hall and Ryan Lane.
Parkway are now unbeaten in seven league matches and remain in 16th place with games in hand over all but one team.
Our opponents for Tuesday evening have drawn their last two league matches but haven’t picked up three points since a 3-0 win over Basingstoke Town in October. United currently sit in 20th place with 23 points.
Despite the impressive unbeaten streak that Parkway are on, they will know not to take Hayes & Yeading for granted. The Yellows have proven they can beat anyone on their day and can compete with the best, but anything can happen in this unpredictable league. The lads will be confident they can continue this form and pick up another three points on Tuesday though.
Last season, both teams were victorious at home. The game ended 3-1 to Parkway at Bolitho, and United were 2-1 winners at the Skyex Community Stadium.
