The toon: Take Two
Hanwell Town vs Parkway | Match PreviewBy Alex Haynes
This weekend Plymouth Parkway travel to the London Borough of Ealing where they will face Hanwell Town for the second time this season.
On Tuesday night, the Yellows were once again denied the opportunity to build on their current run of good form. The match against AFC Totton was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. On Saturday we will look to pick up where we left off at the end of last month – a 1-0 win over Bracknell Town.
We will also be seeking revenge for the defeat to Hanwell earlier on in the season. A depleted Parkway squad were beaten 2-1 by the London Geordies at Bolitho back in September.
Since then, Parkway have improved significantly and have won three on the trot. A win over Hanwell this Saturday will move the Yellows above their opponents in the table. Town have been struggling of late and have lost their last four league games. In fact, they haven’t picked up a win since the 16th of September when they beat Harrow Borough 2-1. Parkway won’t be underestimating their adversaries this weekend though and will be focused on picking up all three points. Despite Hanwell’s poor form, a competitive match should be expected as this league can be unpredictable.
Last season at The Powerday Stadium, Hanwell were 1-0 winners. In the reverse fixture at Bolitho, it finished 1-1.
