Away days return with Buckinghamshire the destination
A double from Ben Seymour last weekend got Parkway off the mark at Bolitho against Chesham, and our first point of the season brings us onto the first away game of the campaign.
The Rams travelled away on match-day one, falling to a 1-0 defeat to Salisbury as Ben Thomson’s second half goal secured the points for the Whites.
Beaconsfield applied copious pressure to their hosts at the end of last weekend’s fixture and were unfortunate to walk away from the opening fixture empty-handed.
Both Parkway and Beaconsfield started slow last Saturday, before ending strong as they both threatened to take points from their opponents, so a competitive 90 minutes is to be expected at Holloways Park.
Our hosts this time out had mixed fortunes at home last campaign, winning eight, losing nine and drawing four of their games in front of their faithful, and they finished 17th in the Southern League Premier Division South after 13 wins overall.
All told, the Rams fell victim to 22 defeats over the course of the campaign, but they still managed to avoid the dreaded drop by 27 points.
Parkway took eleven wins on the road last term, falling to seven defeats as a clinical 21-22 season saw them win the league by three points from Frome.
As discovered last Saturday, this division will be a different challenge this season and, after an historic day at Bolitho, it is nearly time to get the away campaign in the Southern Premier underway.

It’s another first! We have never met Beaconsfield before, so here’s hoping we take three points from Holloways Park.

It’s a near four-hour journey to get over to Beaconsfield via the M4 and the M5. It’s still a summer weekend, so expect delays and congestion, and be sure to leave plenty of time for that possibility.
