It's all back Bolitho as Parkway host league leaders
Parkway return to Bolitho Park on Bank Holiday Monday still looking for their first three points of the season after a 4th consecutive defeat in Hampshire.
Onlookers will see a 5-1 scoreline but it could have been a different story if Ben Seymour converted his 85th minute penalty and the possibility of setting up a grand slam finish.
That being said, Gosport would be worthy winners on the day with a healthy crowd of 690 in attendance at Privett Park.
Jack Crago would notch his first goal of the season as Parkway again took an early lead only for the familiar story to play out once Boro drew level. Four second half goals would seal a fine afternoon’s work for the home side as Lee Hobbs and his squad were left to regroup ahead of a mouth-watering Bank Holiday fixture against league leaders Weston-super-mare at Bolitho.
Weston head into the fixture fresh off the back of a 7-0 victory over Harrow Borough infront of 700 fans at the Optima Stadium.
They remain unbeaten so far this season with the only blemish being a 2-2 draw with Bracknell Town on the opening day. Since then, they’ve recorded wins over Gosport Borough, Yate Town, Poole Town and most recently, Harrow Borough on Saturday.
Goals have also been scored at a frequent pace with the Seagulls already hitting 18 goals in 5 games and boast former Plymouth Argyle striker Reuben Reid amongst their attacking options.
They will travel to Plymouth in confident mood as they seek to continue their unbeaten start to the season. As for Parkway, they have home advantage and a chance to put Saturday’s defeat quickly behind them as they again, test themselves against another strong outfit.
