Parkway prepare for BIG day out

Barnet v Parkway| Match Preview

Everyone is starting to get a little sick of persistently seeing the word postponement, so let’s hope this weekend’s fixture with Barnet pans out a little differently to what we have become accustomed to recently.

The Bees enter the FA Trophy for the first time this season, having been eliminated by Boreham Wood just under 12 months ago.

Similarly, to ourselves, Barnet have been knocked out of the FA Cup after their defeat to Accrington Stanley in the second round, after we tasted a cruel loss at the hands of Oxford City.

However, Oxford are one of the sides Parkway have seen off on their way to the third round of the FA Trophy this season, after also defeating Dorchester and Bristol Manor Farm.

Barnet are fifth in the National League at present having won 11 games this campaign, and seven of those three-point collections have materialised at The Hive.

Past meetings:

We have never faced Barnet before, and there are no illusions that the first clash will be a mighty challenge, but one that the boys can rise to!

Travel:

About four hours on the M5 and then the M4 which brings you to the A312, before the A404 and the A4006 leads you to the Hive in Edgeware.

Weather:

No rain is expected on Saturday, but temperatures will be near freezing, so please wear something warm, and please keep an eye on our channels for information on how the weather might affect proceedings.
