After a false storm, Parkway now set for a long-awaited return to PL5
Parkway v Bracknell Town | Match PreviewBy Alex Haynes
Plymouth Parkway will be back on home soil f or the first time in five weeks on Saturday afternoon for a Southern League encounter against Bracknell Town. Weather permitting.
The last time the Yellows played football at Bolitho was back on the 21st of October in a 1-1 draw versus Basingstoke Town. The home fixture against bottom side Didcot Town has been postponed twice and will have to be rearranged once again.
Parkway have looked good on their travels of late though. The impressive 2-1 win at Walton & Hersham was followed up by a comfortable 3-0 victory over Ivybridge Town in the Devon St Lukes Bowl second round. The squad have momentum on their side and will be hoping to make it three wins in a row on Saturday.
Bracknell are currently 8th in the table with 25 points. They have won their last three games in the Premier South, most notably a 4-0 drubbing of Chesham United. The Robins were unlucky not to get promoted last season when they were beaten 3-2 by Truro in the playoff final. They are a dangerous side, but Parkway have been improving steadily and know they are capable of beating anyone in this league.
One point and a game in hand separates us from Tiverton Town who sit just above the drop zone. There is a lot of football left, but the Yellows must make every match count and continue to build upon recent success.
In the last campaign at The SB Stadium, the match ended in a 0-0 draw. At Bolitho, Bracknell were victorious and came away with a 3-1 win in the final game of the season
