Parkway move quickly to secure services of new head physio Callum Murphy

Plymouth Parkway are delighted to welcome new Head Physio Callum Murphy to Bolitho Park.

Following former head Physio Regan Miles departure to Torquay United, the football club have acted quickly to ensure the services of the former Plymouth Argyle Academy physio.

Callum enjoyed a successful time with the academy and has also developed his trade during work placements with the Preston North End academy, Garstang FC and Plymouth Argyle women.

On joining Plymouth Parkway Callum commented: “I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to join a club that’s been consistently striving for success over the last few years. It’s obviously a chance for me to step back into men’s football which I hope will aid me to push on in my career.”

Callum added: After speaking to Lee and Karl and listening to their plans I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. Also knowing a lot of the current players has been good as I transition into this new role.”

The new physio would be on duty as Parkway travelled to Buckinghamshire on Saturday and despite defeat, Callum would be impressed with the Parkway set-up: “Obviously the result was disappointing. The 4G surface and the extreme heat wasn’t ideal but in terms of my department, we had no injuries, and everyone came through the 90 minutes unscathed which is always positive news. Saturday also gave me the chance to get used to the surroundings and hopefully we can bounce back on Tuesday evening and record our first three points of the season.”
