An early start for Parkway as they head to Hanwell Town
Yet more atrocious weather put pay to Parkway’s fixture against Poole in midweek, so attentions on Wednesday night instead turned to preparation for a visit to Hanwell at the weekend.
Saturday’s hosts have been on slightly wobbly form of late, losing six of their last seven, but they sit 13th, four positions above the Yellows, who have six games in hand.
Their current run of form followed a splendid start to the campaign as they won four of their opening five of the season, so their trajectory has differed slightly from our own.
A frustrating beginning to the 2022/23 campaign has gradually improved as the term has worn on for Lee Hobbs and his crew, with the squad evolving and the players bonding better than ever.
Parkway have recorded wins – if the penalty success over Oxford in the Cup is to be counted – in all their last five, although that tense encounter with the Hoops last time out is now almost two weeks in the rear-view mirror.
A reminder to fans travelling to the game, this fixture has an earlier kick-off time of 1:30pm
