For the final time this season, Parkway prepare to board the coach

By Rob Kershaw

It was a solid evening’s work on Wednesday night; Harrison King’s goal secured a point following a professional display at Tiverton.

It was a draw that kept us clear of Tivvy and within reach of the top 10, but another tricky away fixture awaits this weekend.

Hayes & Yeading are seventh in the league and 13 points adrift of the play-off places having played 38 games so far this term. They have won 18 of those but have not experienced the easiest time of it lately.

Our hosts on Saturday have conceded six goals in their last two games, losing away at Winchester and at home to Chesham.

Two draws for Lee Hobbs’ men with Tiverton and Hanwell came either side of a victory against Truro at Bolitho, so there is plenty of positive forward momentum heading into our 39th fixture of the campaign.

This is, in what has been a strange campaign, our final away game this season, with our remaining three fixtures following this weekend taking place at home.

Past Meetings

Ryan Lane, Ben Seymour, and Jack Crago all got on the scoresheet in November as we took a 3-1 win over 10-man Hayes & Yeading at Bolitho.

Travel

Over three hours up the M5 and M4 past Exeter, Bristol and Swindon will take you up towards Hayes on Saturday morning. There is room spare on the supporters’ coach on the way up – just email [email protected] for more details.

Weather

While the sun is not expected to make much of an appearance on Saturday, it will be relatively warm, and rain should stay clear.
