London Calling as Parkway prepare for Hendon

By Rob Kershaw

A resilient 0-0 draw at Poole was the first of two successive away league games for Parkway, who this weekend visit Hendon.

A point on the road in a tough Tuesday night visit certainly was not a terrible result, and it leaves us a healthy 12th in the table heading into our 29th game of the season.

However, the form book is still healthy. We are unbeaten in our last three and have managed three wins in the last five.

Things have not been so pretty for Hendon. You must go back to the start of January for their last league win, and they have tasted defeat in six of the nine games since then in the Southern League Premier South.

That form has seen them slip to 20th in the league, and very much in the middle of relegation trouble.

This is a side very much in need of a win at home on Saturday, giving the squad even more reason to focus and expect a group of battling opponents.

We enjoyed our biggest win of the season when Hendon paid a visit to Bolitho in October, Ben Seymour grabbing four goals on an exceptional day.
