Parkway all set for the challenge of Didcot Town
Parkway vs Didcot Town | Match PreviewBy Alex Haynes
After a break in the action last weekend, Plymouth Parkway are back on home soil again this Saturday to face Didcot Town.
The Yellows were unlucky not to get a result last Tuesday away to Salisbury and can be proud of their efforts against a top side. Despite losing 2-1, the team were always in the game.
Although there were positives to take away, it goes down as Parkway’s seventh defeat of the season and keeps us in the drop zone. Points have been hard to come by so far this season, so a result against Didcot at Bolitho is paramount.
Didcot have also struggled to get going this season. They were promoted from the Southern League Division One Central via the playoffs in the last campaign and are currently two places below us on six points. They have lost their last three matches and are desperately seeking a positive turnaround.
This could make them dangerous opponents on Saturday, but on the other hand, it might be the right time to play the Railwaymen. This is also a match Parkway will believe they can win convincingly in front of home fans.
Parkway and Didcot met in the first round of FA Cup qualifying last season. It finished 1-1 at Loop Meadow Stadium before the Yellows secured a 3-2 win at Bolitho in the replay.
