Loop Meadow the destination for Parkway this weekend!

Didcot Town vs Parkway | Match Preview

By Mike Parrish

Plymouth Parkway prepare to play their third game in five days, and fourth in seven as they get ready to board the coach to face Didcot Town.

Amidst this gruelling schedule, Parkway began with a morale-boosting 4-1 win over Swindon Supermarine last Sunday, with the game being played at Bulpit Lane, home of Hungerford Town. However, Parkway tasted defeat twice in a row with a series of ‘home’ games. Firstly, they faltered against Harrow Borough with the game being played in Bristol, before narrowly coming up short against promotion-chasing Salisbury at the Circle of Care Community Stadium, home of Exmouth Town.

The Yellows will look to get back to winning ways as they make the trip to Loop Meadow for a tough test against the already-relegated Didcot Town. Parkway themselves are amidst a relegation battle and are very aware that nothing short of three points will be needed on their travels this weekend.

For Didcot, this will be their penultimate home game in front of their fans and, along with their annual Players Day, a large crowd is expected as they look to finish the season on a high. After narrowly being defeated by Parkway at the end of March, The Railwaymen found themselves on the wrong side of scorelines against Hanwell Town & Swindon Supermarine, but they stopped the rot last weekend with a 2-2 draw against Sholing.

Parkway traveled to Loop Meadow last season in the FA Cup but required a replay to progress in the competition. This time, there is more at stake for Parkway as they juggle a busy schedule with a relegation battle.
