Sean Newark

Event & Fundraising Director

Brief info

Sean is a lifelong football man whose journey through the non-league game has equipped him with a deep understanding of what it takes to build a successful club both on and off the pitch. His playing career included spells at respected clubs across the South and South West, including Salisbury FC, Liskeard, Bodmin, Ottery St Mary, Millbrook, and Tavistock, where he earned a reputation as a committed and intelligent player.

At Parkway, his role involves a wide range of responsibilities — from operational planning and event support to community outreach and strategic discussions with the board. He is deeply invested in the club’s ongoing growth and is a key voice in helping to shape its future, working to ensure that every aspect of the club runs smoothly and professionally.

For him, success at Parkway is twofold: maintaining the club’s position in the Southern Premier League and building the foundations for future progression with eyes on playoff contention and promotion over the coming seasons. But it’s not just about league tables; it’s also about building a sustainable, respected club that represents the city and community with pride. From rising attendances to increased local interest, he sees real potential for Parkway to continue climbing the non-league ladder and believes the collective ambition, both on and off the pitch, is what sets the club apart.

Sean’s favourite Parkway player of all time is, the goalscorer of the 2017 Boxing Day beauty vs Tavistock, Glyn Hobbs and his favourite player is Geoff Butler. His best moment was winning promotion for Salisbury FC to the Southern Premier League.

Sean likes to take it easy in his free time, enjoying time with his wife, in the hot tub, having a beer and walking his dogs, and his favourite food is anything that his wife cooks.
