Parkway board the coach for a midweek trip to Salisbury
Salisbury Town v Parkway | Match PreviewBy Alex Haynes
Plymouth Parkway are on the road again this Tuesday for an evening fixture against Salisbury – our fourth away game in five matches.
Last Saturday was a welcome return to Bolitho, and the team managed to secure a point after another 1-1 draw against Basingstoke. Looking back over the last three league games, this result has become all too familiar.
On the plus side, Parkway are now unbeaten in four in the league – three draws and one win. The focus now will be on turning those draws into wins and climbing up the table. After the Basingstoke match, manager Lee Hobbs described how the team may well have lost some of the recent games at the beginning of the season and pointed to the progress they have made by steadying the ship and picking up points.
Salisbury are coming into this fixture full of confidence after beating Didcot Town 2-1 away from home on Saturday. They are now up to second place in the table and are only two points behind Gosport Borough with a game in hand over the leaders. The Yellows will be up against it on Tuesday night but know they themselves are a hard team to beat and will play to take all three points.
Back in the 21/22 season, Parkway recorded a huge 4-0 win against Salisbury in the FA Trophy. Last season in the league, we did the double over the Whites winning 3-1 at Bolitho and 1-0 at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium.
